The significance of the ancient Greek language and its relevance to modern Greek is expressed and celebrated in a two-day grassroots event. The event incorporates a lecture, performance art, GRAFFITI art and a photography exhibition.

The PERFORMANCE ART piece is interactive; artists, actors and audience are encouraged to participate with poetry and discussion. Presented and performed by Nikos Dionysios and guest actors, the event includes a historical and poetic lecture about the Greek Language from Homer and Hesiod to Sappho and Aeschylus, Kazantzakis, Cavafys, Seferis, Elytis and more.

Graffiti created by youth from the Artemida area and a “Marine Life” Photography Exhibition by Miltos Gikas will be on exhibit for the duration of the event.

The event takes place at the harbor of Artemida.
