Free for the general public and local schools.
“Epitrepontes”, is an adaptation of Menander’s play written in 314 B.C. (approx.).
Menander’s comedy “Epitrepontes” takes place at the Festival of Artemis Tavropolos. This contemporary performance is set at the exact location specified in the ancient text, in the town of Artemida, Loutsa. Live music enhances the experience as the audience is encouraged to participate in the dance scene at the end of the play.
The performance piece has been created to inform, educate and inspire the general public and local schools about this unique place. A lecture and discussion precede the performance.
